Appointment to the Board

Individuals interested in appointment to the Board of Electricity are required to submit application as vacancies occur and a notice of vacancy is announced by the Secretary of State. Information about vacancies and how to make application is available at www.sos.state.mn.us/home/index.asp?page=5. Applications submitted to the Secretary of State are passed on to the Governor for review and subsequent appointment or denial based on the qualifications submitted by the applicant. All appointments made by the Governor are made with the advice and consent of the Senate.
