Workers' compensation system report |
This CGI Federal Inc. document, Report on workers' compensation reimbursement methodologies, was commissioned by the Department of Labor and Industry to study the ways in which workers' compensation systems in other states and in certain federal programs reimburse providers of medical care and treatment. The purpose of the study was to collect data to compare Minnesota's workers' compensation reimbursement approach.
A recent study by the Workers' Compensation Research Institute (WCRI) finds prescription drug use and costs to be relatively low in Minnesota, among the 17 states studied.
The study, Prescription benchmarks, 2nd edition: trends and interstate comparisons, is summarized in the August 2011 edition of COMPACT (page 11); the complete study may be obtained from WCRI.
