The Department of Labor and Industry (DLI) is pleased to announce that James Nethercut has joined the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) unit. He will be providing a full range of dispute resolution services, including arbitrations and mediations.

Nethercut brings more than 37 years of private practice experience, exclusively in workers’ compensation and personal injury. He earned his degree in political science from the University of Minnesota and his law degree from Hamline University School of Law. He began his career at a personal injury and workers’ compensation firm in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, and after nine years, opened his own practice, where he remained until joining DLI.

During the course of his career, Nethercut has gained extensive experience in administrative conferences, hearings, arbitrations, trials and mediations. He has also served as an arbitrator in numerous cases.

ADR is very pleased to welcome him to the team – not only for his deep technical expertise, but also for his ability to work professionally and constructively with all parties. His respectful and collaborative approach helps ensure all voices are heard and supports fair and effective outcomes for all parties.
