The Department of Labor and Industry (DLI) is hiring for a workers' compensation compliance services officer senior position.

About this position 

This employee will participate as a member of Compliance, Records and Training's (CRT's) compliance services team to provide proactive assistance and educational outreach regarding workers' compensation issues and compliance with statutes, case law and rules. 

What is great about this position is its balanced life and work schedule, where the employee will be working 40 hours a week and have the ability for 50% telework (see posting for specifics). 

Duties of this position: 

• analyze complex workers' compensation issues to advise and educate customers regarding the procedures and strategies to be used in effective claims management; 

• intervene in workers' compensation issues and disputes to promote early, efficient resolution; 

• regulate and enforce compliance with workers' compensation statutes, case law and rules by determining and issuing warning and penalty assessments; 

• negotiate settlements on penalty assessments and conduct on-site audits of insurers and employers; 

• provide proactive assistance and educational outreach regarding workers' compensation issues and compliance with statutes, case law and rules; and 

• participate in developing and presenting training materials for customers.
