Location
433 Little Canada Road, Little Canada, MN 55117
Training centers are located in Fargo/Moorhead, Rochester and Little Canada.
Overview
Applications are open for 30 days every 2 years. A $25 non-refundable fee is required to submit an application.
Two weeks after applications close, Elevator Constructors JATC hosts aptitude testing. Applicants who pass the aptitude test will complete a tool test and an interview. The tool test will determine the applicant’s familiarity with construction tools.
Once results are received, interviews are held two-four weeks later. Applicants are given scores for both the interview and tool test and are ranked for hiring based on the highest score combination. For example, the highest combined score will be hired by contractors first. Note: if the collective score is under 70, applicants will not be eligible for hire. Contractors will hire from this ranked list for two years. At this time, any applicants who have not yet been employed must reapply during the next cycle.
Applicants must be 18 years or older and have a high school diploma or G.E.D by the time of hire. However, applications may be submitted at 17 years old.
