Associated Builders and Contractors of Minnesota and North Dakota
Overview
Applications for apprenticeship programs are accepted on a rolling basis through participating employers. Applicants join the apprenticeship program after they are hired by a participating employer.
The list of signatory contractors can be found at MNABC’s apprentice resource web page. ABC has employer partners in North Dakota, and some listed contractors may be located outside of Minnesota.
The length of the application process will vary by employer. There are no application fees or aptitude tests required to join the program.

Ironworkers 512

Ironworkers 512 Training Center, 835 Pierce Butler Route, St. Paul, MN 55104
Overview
Applications are accepted year-round with interviews in March. If there is a high demand for workers another round of interviews may be conducted or probational workers brought on. This is not a guarantee and is dependent on the labor needs.

Testing appointments available Tuesdays and Thursdays. During this appointment, applicants will fill out an application, take a 60-minute online assessment to evaluate aptitude, personality, and cognitive capabilities related to a construction career, and take a short tour of the training facility. The whole application process will take 90 minutes. Chosen applicants will move on to a round of interviews. There is no application fee.
