Transportation Grants for High School Educators and Students
Grant funding of approximately $10,000 is available, maximum award amount of $3,000 per applicant.
Grant timeline

Proposals due: Applications will be accepted beginning May 8, 2026, and continue until all funds have been awarded, or March 31, 2027, whichever comes first.

Grant decision making: Applications will be reviewed bi-weekly, until funds are depleted.

Grant decision communicated: Applicant awards will be announced on a rolling basis, within three weeks of applying.
Objective
This grant program provides funding for the purpose of introducing Minnesota high-school staff and students to registered apprenticeship. The funding assists with the cost of transportation to events or activities focused on registered apprenticeship. This program is 100% funded by a State Apprenticeship Expansion Formula – Competitive grant from the U.S. Department of Labor/Employment and Training Administration.
Eligibility
Minnesota school districts, charter schools, tribally controlled schools and service cooperatives that intend to expand students’ knowledge of the benefits of registered apprenticeship through supported grant activities.
Award amount
The total available funding for the upcoming grant cycle is anticipated to total up to $10,000. Applicants may apply for up to $3,000.
