Supportive Services for Registered Apprentices Grant (large)
Grant funding of approximately $100,000 available, maximum award amount of $30,000.

Objective
The Department of Labor and Industry (DLI) awards funds for a variety of purposes including expanding employment-based training opportunities. One goal is to increase participation in, retention of, and completion of registered apprenticeship programs by providing supportive services for grantee participants.
This grant program seeks to increase the retention and completion rates of registered apprentices throughout Minnesota through the provision of supportive services to assist registered apprentices in program completion.
This program is 100% funded by a State Apprenticeship Expansion Formula – Competitive grant from the U.S. Department of Labor/Employment and Training Administration.
Eligibility
The grant program seeks proposals from existing registered apprenticeship programs in Minnesota in good standing with DLI, community-based organizations and other non-profit entities equipped to connect with and provide supports to registered apprentices. Applicants must have capacity to track supportive services provided to each apprentice.
Multi-organization collaborations are not allowed for this funding. Applicants are, however, encouraged to partner with other organizations when appropriate.
Award amount
The total available funding for the grant cycle is anticipated to total up to $100,000. Applicants may apply for up to $30,000.

Supportive Services for Registered Apprentices Grant (small)
Approximately $50,000 in grant funding is available with a maximum award amount of $4,999 per applicant.
Grant timeline

Applications are accepted until 4 p.m. on April 30, 2027, or until funds are depleted, whichever comes first.

Applications will be reviewed by DLI staff to ensure applicants are registered apprenticeship programs in Minnesota in good standing with DLI and the requested costs are allowable grant activities.

Applicant awards will be announced approximately two weeks after submission.
Objective
This grant seeks to provide supportive services to registered apprentices to aid in the retention of new and existing participants in registered apprenticeship programs in Minnesota.

Registered apprenticeship programs in Minnesota in good standing with DLI are eligible to apply.
