Licenses are not renewed unless continuing education credit are completed within the license term immediately preceding the license expiration date, or until hours of credit are earned and license renewal fees are paid. Failure to renew your license means you are unlicensed. Renewing without completing continuing education may result in license suspension and a fine of $1,000.
Credits may be applied to more than one type of license. Only the number of hours required for the license with the highest requirements must be fulfilled.. Credits totaling more than the minimum continuing education hours cannot be carried over into subsequent license terms.
