Requesting an inspection

As of July 1, 2024, if your electrical permit is eligible to request an inspection you will be notified at the time you apply for your permit. See instructions for requesting an inspection here.

Important things to note when requesting an inspection:

• Your permit must be eligible for this feature.

• You must be ready for an inspection.

• A note will populate during the process with your inspector's work schedule and other information for scheduling. Please read this carefully so you do not request to schedule an inspection during your inspectors non-working hours.

• You cannot request a same day inspection after 8:30 a.m.

• Inspectors will make every attempt to accommodate an inspection request, but it is not guaranteed that a request with be approved. If your request is denied, you will receive an email with additional information.
