Oct. 24, 2019:  Best Practices and Successful Work Environments, Part Two:  Mentorship Implementation, St. Paul

What:  A presentation and discussion about how leveraging employee resource or affinity groups can enhance your company’s ability to attract, develop, and retain talent. This second workshop will explore the stages and steps necessary to launch and manage a successful Employee Resource Group program. This discussion will be facilitated by Deon Clark, Owner of TCI Solutions LLC, and creator of the Legacy I3 Workforce Model. 

When and where:  9 to 11 a.m., Oct. 24, 2019, at St. Paul College, 235 Marshall Avenue, St. Paul, MN 55102.

Nov. 15, 2019:  Northeast Minnesota Apprenticeship Summit, Duluth

What:  A daylong even in collaboration with the City of Duluth and Duluth Building and Construction Trades Council. Events include an Apprenticeship 101 Overview (featuring the construction, utilities, manufacturing, healthcare and other high-growth industries), a bus tour of two apprenticeship training facilities, panel discussions featuring regional registered apprenticeship program professionals and apprentices.

Who should attend:  High school teachers, counselors and administrators, workforce development professionals, apprenticeship program coordinators and community-based organizations working with youth and their families.

When and where:  8 to 3:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 15, 2019. Holiday Inn & Suites - Duluth Downtown, Great Lakes Ballroom, 200 West First Street, Duluth MN 55802. Free on-site parking available for all event attendees.

Nov. 11-15, 2019:  Apprenticeship Week

What:  Apprenticeship Week is an opportunity for the apprenticeship community to tell their stories about apprenticeship and share with businesses, industry, labor, education, career-seekers, community-based organizations, students and workers the advantages of developing careers through adoption of the apprenticeship model. Events are hosted throughout Minnesota. Learn more.
