2026 new draft competency models

Share your feedback about new models

Competency standards are the specific knowledge and skills necessary to work in a particular occupation. As part of Minnesota Dual-Training Pipeline’s efforts to potentially add new eligible occupations, we invite you to review these new draft competency models, submit a survey and learn about our Competency Council meetings.  

First, please review the competency models and complete the corresponding survey at the links below. The surveys close Thursday, Jan, 15, 2026.

Agriculture

• Livestock veterinary technician competency model – (Submit a survey)

Child care

• Early childhood culinary supervisor competency model – (Submit a survey)

Health care services

• Nurse practitioner competency model – (Submit a survey)

• Sterile processing technician competency model – (Submit a survey)

Legal cannabis industry

• Cannabis logistics and inventory specialist – (Submit a survey)

Transportation

• Aircraft dispatcher – (Submit a survey)

Competency council meetings

Next, consider joining us at a Competency Council meeting where we will further discuss the draft competency models before presenting final drafts at Winter Industry Forums.

• Child Care Competency Council:  Jan. 20, 2026, at 9 a.m.

• Legal Cannabis Competency Council:  Jan. 20, 2026, at 11 a.m.

• Health Care Services Competency Council:  Jan. 20 at 1 p.m.

• Transportation Competency Council:  Jan. 21 at 11 a.m.

• Agriculture Competency Council:  Jan, 21 at 1 p.m.
